Welcome to the Acoustic Toolkit! In this class, you're going to learn all of the essential tools and techniques you need to know in order to take your acoustic playing to the next level! Whether you're an old pro, or just starting out - there's something here for you.

When starting this class, I recommend practicing for at least 30 minutes each day. This will help solidify all concepts and techniques covered in class.

Course Overview:

1. Tone: How to find your own tone on acoustic guitar. Explore ways to achieve tonal variations, giving your playing a distinctive and personalized touch.

2. Right Hand Techniques: Students will learn a variety of right hand warm ups to increase dexterity and speed, as well as finger picking techniques such as Travis picking, classical tremolo, and new patterns to accelerate your right hand.

3. Alternate Tunings: Explore different tunings on the acoustic guitar, from drop D, to open tunings that will change the entire layout of your guitar! Students will learn how to apply these ideas in the studio, songwriting, and creatively.

4. Capo: Understand the role of the capo, plus tips and tricks to make it more manageable. Adapt your knowledge of the capo to suit the stylistic demands of different musical contexts.
